📋 How to Add Activity for Leads and Deals
In iSales CRM, Activity Logs allow sales reps to track all communications (Calls, Emails, LinkedIn messages) for both Leads and Deals. Logging an activity keeps a chronological interaction history, updates activity count badges, resets inactivity risk, and feeds into the global audit stream.
1. How to Add Activity for a Lead
Where to access:
- From Leads Listing: Select a lead row(select check-box next to lead row) and click the “Add Activity” button in the table header.
- From Lead Details Page: Open the lead details view and click “Add Activity”.
Steps to Log an Activity:
- Click the “Add Activity” button to open the right-side drawer.
- Select Activity Type: Choose the type of communication (e.g., Call, Email).
- Select Activity Date: Pick the date and time when the conversation occurred.
- Save: Click Submit.
What Happens After Saving on a Lead:
- Activity Count Badges: The lead profile updates its specific activity counters (e.g., Calls: 3, Emails: 5, LinkedIn: 2).
- Lead Timeline: The log is pinned to the lead’s chronological history with the rep’s name and timestamp.
- Resets Aging: Updates the lead’s Last Activity Date, preventing it from dropping into the Aging Leads (<60 Days) or Inactive Leads (90+ Days) filters.
- Global Activity Feed: Appears immediately in
Header → Profile → Activity.
2. How to Add Activity for a Deal
Where to access:
- From Deals Board / Table: Select a deal or click the “Add Activity” button in the header.

- Resets Deal Inactivity Risk: Automatically updates last activity date, clearing any High Risk 🔴 or Medium Risk 🟡 flags caused by inactivity.
- Deal Activity History: Adds the entry to the deal’s negotiation timeline alongside stage changes and uploaded proposals.
- Global Sync: Feeds into company-wide activity audit reports for management review.
3. How Outcomes & Activities Sync with Activity Listings
Activities logged through Add Outcome and Add Activity are automatically synchronized with the Activity Log for the related Lead or Deal.
1️⃣ From Add Outcome:
When you click Outcome on a Lead or Deal follow-up card:
- LinkedIn: Selecting LinkedIn from the Lead Source dropdown adds the activity to the Activity Log with a LinkedIn badge
- Call or Email: Selecting Call or Email from the Lead Source also adds the activity to the Activity Log and increments the respective communication counters.
2️⃣ From Add Activity:
When you click Add Activity from the table checkbox or details page:
- In the Activity Listing, Call and Email activities added through Add Activity are displayed in the activity log list.
- Activities added through Add Outcome are also displayed in the Activity Listing when Call, Email, or LinkedIn is selected from the Lead Source field.
- These activities are linked to the respective Lead/Deal and are also displayed in that Lead/Deal’s Activity Log on **** Lead/Deal’s Detail’s page
- Submitting the activity creates an activity entry, updates the communication counters, and resets the last activity timestamp.
3️⃣ Where Activities & Outcomes Display:
When you click Add Activity from the table checkbox or details page:
- Lead & Deal Activity Log: Displays LinkedIn, Call, or Email interactions in the chronological timeline with rep name, date/time, and notes.
- Activity Log Listing & Badges: Updates the LinkedIn Count, Call Count, and Email Count on the Lead and Deal records and adds the interaction to the selected Contact Person’s touchpoint history.
- Global Activity Listing (
/activity-listing): Displays the Rep Name, Activity Type, Associated Lead/Deal and Contact, and Timestamp in the organization-wide activity stream.
4. Managing Existing Activity Logs
Inside any Lead or Deal activity drawer:
- View History: See all previous activities filtered by type (Call, Email, LinkedIn).
- Edit Activity: Click the Edit icon (✏️) next to any log to update the date or communication type.
- Delete Activity: Click the Delete icon (🗑️) to remove an incorrect log entry.
Note: Call, Email, and LinkedIn activities added through Add Outcome and displayed in the Activity Log Listing cannot be edited or deleted. Only Call and Email activities added through Add Activity can be edited or deleted.
